What I do at Senthé
Fo almost a year now, I’ve been coming to Senthé about 4-5 days a week. In the beginning it was mostly to play go, drink some delicious teas and eat brownies, but for about 2 months now I work in the kitchen. I’m lucky enough to work with Senthé’s nice staff 3 times a week and I still come to the Sunday go club and to go classes with korean professional Yoonyoung Kim. Senthé is home away from home and lots of my friends also come here.

What I do when not at Senthé
I split my life bewteen work as an independant illustrator – I paint illustrations for board games, book covers and posters – and my passions : go and music. I am an artist and for me go is also and art in which one must be creative and where we can learn and grow (almost) indefinitely.

My tea
Kamairicha!.

My breakfast
The morning-wrap, but on gluten free bread.

My meal
The vegan panini on gluten free bread.

My dessert
I love Senthé’s brownies and the almond cake.

My game
Go all the way!!!!

What I do at Senthé
I work in the kitchen during the week-ends, I prepare your orders and ask weird questions to my collegues. I also do small miscellaneous jobs around Senthé to help out. If you notice something not quite finished, never fear we’ll get to it!

What I do when not at Senthé
I like bouldering, I try to go climbing at least once a week. I also pass the time away from Senthé playing video games and board games.

My tea
The Bai Hao Yin Zhen is king.

My breakfast
The morning-wrap with a vanilla yogourt.

My meal
I’ll eat any order mistake we make in the kitchen, not that we ever make mistakes of course. If I have a choice, I’ll take a chicken ceasar salad.

Our famous vegan brownie is to die for.

My game

What I do at Senthé
You can find me waiting tables and preparing  tea on my work days. You might even find me playing go on my days off.

What I do when not at Senthé
My life is scattered between a violin case, a goldsmith’s bench and a translator’s desk, to name only three of the many interests that cut into my sleep time. I also foster an obsession for both tea and go.

My tea
My tea of choice tends to change with my mood, but Macao, Hojicha and Lapsang Souchong are mainstays in my rotation.

My breakfast
The breakfast panini with a yogurt.

My meal
The vegetable panini with a soup of the day.

My dessert
The almond cake.

My game
Go, perhaps unsurprisingly.

What I do at Senthé
I work in the kitchen where I invent new recipes for fun. If I’m out front, it’s to lend a had. I’m a bit shy with customers, but I do love it! Sometimes I’ll come up with weird multiple choice questions to ask my collegues, that’s something we all like to do for fun at Senthé. I also like to come up with weird things to make my co-worker Pierre-Paul try 🙂

What I do when not at Senthé
I’m finishing my high school with distance schooling, when I remember to study… I practice yoga and KongFu, I made it to first dan black belt! I’m always looking for new tastes to discover. I paint, draw, bike and love to get tatooed!

Yes, there are two Lydias! 🙂

What I do at Senthé
I’m right there at the front! I’ll give the menu, take the orders, prepare the teas and explain what we’re all about! Between the tea house, the restaurant, the art gallery, the boutique and the game zone, sometimes there is a need for some explanations.

What I do at Senthé
I am in early whipping up meringue and knocking down pizza dough; rolling out pastry and if I feel fancy, burning things with a blow torch. I try to keep a variety in what I cook; with my Brittish heritage in the Scottish scones and Welsh cakes, to the French influences patisseries reflecting my working experiences all the way to the favorites from Québec that I’ve come to love.

What I do when not at Senthé
I am fascinated and deeply passionate about juggling and circus. I’ve been performing and teaching Contact Juggling in particular since 2004 and have branched out to combine it with dance and more theatrical techniques. When the mood takes me, I have an auld Scottish fiddle and a mandolin I use to drown out the cat’s complaining, and also a shelf of books about European witchcraft during the Medieval period.

My tea
I like Lapsang Souchong.

My breakfast
Orange zest and chocolate Scones.

My meal
A plate with a mix of all the new salads.

My dessert
I love chocolate and apple Macarons!

My game
I’ll play an agressive round of Carcassonne, anytime!

It’s hard to decide! Depending on my mood, I mostly drink either Kamairicha, Kangaita or Shui Xian.

My breakfast
I either get a smoothie bowl with soy milk, or a BELT. Like a BLT, with an Egg.

My meal
Chicken panini on a wrap, with a soup or salad.

My dessert
I like the Welsh Cake, it’s a new-ish one and it’s delicious when warmed-up!

My game
Go ^^
